LOVE

I connected with this little angel two years ago. I carried her around her village, Kitayawa, for hours and absolutely fell in love with her gorgeous smile, loving nature and affection. A few days ago I reconnected with her. When we pulled up to her home she started jumping up and down yelling my name. She was only one when we first met and at the time she was speaking very little but affection, smiles, body language and energy are all you need. This reiterates to me that we don’t need to speak the same language to develop a connection with someone.

She will be in my heart forever but this year, with the little Swahili I am able to speak, i was able to tell her that I’ll see her again next year.
