You just missed your bus - gratitude because you were mean't to meet someone on the next bus.
You didn't get the promotion - gratitude because there is another job that’s even more perfect for you around the corner.
She / he broke up with me - gratitude becaue you were mean't to learn some powerful lessons, making you stronger.
The restaurant you wanted to go for dinner is closed - gratitude because it’s forcing me to try something new.
You're scheduled in for a sand boarding experience and the group leaves without you - gratitude for now getting the dunes to myself.
It's not always easy to look at things this way. I've gone through some incredibly tough times and this hasn't always been my perspective and I’m continually reminding myself of this (today included), that I’m exactly where I need to be. Coming from that place, a place of ultimate gratitude will change your day and life. I invite you to think about this the next time something doesn’t go the way you planned or wanted. Something even better could be aligning.
